A bit about Paolina
My story begins in Dubrovnik, the city in Croatia where I took my first breath and sensed
a lot of Mediterranean coastal beauty and its calm lifestyle. It influenced a lot of my thoughts, feelings, and life choices.
Growing up in another pearl of the Mediterranean coast, Herceg-Novi, a little city in Montenegro, a strong kind of search on the audiovisual level has always been present and ready to find the answers through its resonance.
The answer to this search was most of the time coming in the form of elegance, lightness, beauty, and symmetry, which is usually beautifully expressed through the artist's view.
As Victor Hugo said,
"Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent."
One day, my grandma came to visit us and gave me a birthday present. I opened it and saw a brand-new music cassette.
I was listening again and again, but there was one particular song. Furthermore, I instantly went to the piano to find its melody and play it. It was a group called "Europe", a Swedish rock band with a famous hit song, The final countdown.
And, it happened. When I was 5. Years old, my family introduced me to my first piano teacher.
I started my official musical education and learned to read the notes.
But the curiosity to play by ear was present even after, up until now.
My knowledge, experience, and skill, came together in a program "Piano Strings" specially designed for piano players and cover artists.
I got inspired by different music and artists like Queen, Pavarotti, Chris Rea, U2, Whitney Houston, Eros Ramazzotti, Vladimir Horowitz, Artur Rubinstein...
Music gave me freedom of expression, contact with people of different cultures and languages, a better understanding of human psychology, and insight into universal laws of nature as well.
My love of Arts, music, beauty, nature, and knowledge continues to live through different collaborations in performance projects shaped from sound, colors, movement, human nature, and educational programs for sharing my knowledge, skills, and ideas.
From an artist's perspective, I can say that my projects and collaborations are a big part of my life purpose and my driving force.
